GRI, Graduate, REALTOR® Institute

The GRI is a designation of the National Association of REALTORS®, awarded through each state’s REALTOR® association. It recognizes agents who have gone well beyond licensing to build in-depth knowledge of the technical side of real estate as well as its fundamentals.

Ninety hours in the classroom

In Texas, the GRI is administered by Texas REALTORS® and requires 90 hours of classroom instruction, taught as a series of intensive multi-day courses. The curriculum covers real estate brokerage, contracts from offer to closing, legal and regulatory issues, professional standards, technology, marketing and the business of real estate.
